Dear students, parents, and guardians,
I am writing to inform you that Smithers Secondary will be offering a partial return to in-class instruction as of June 1, 2020. This partial return to in-class instruction is voluntary. Each student is scheduled to have 1 day per week of in-class instruction at the school. Online instruction will continue.
Please click below where you will see a detailed plan that all students, parents, and guardians need to be aware of before students return to partial in-class instruction. I encourage all families to review it together so they understand the expectations for each student and they schedule where they can come to school. Our goal is to provide a safe and clean environment for our students and staff. Therefore, we will need everyone to respect and follow the guidelines laid out by the school and BC’s Health Officer.
This has been an unprecedented time and we miss having the students in the school. Even if it is only for 1 day per week, all of us at Smithers Secondary are looking forward to seeing the students return to the school.
